Meet Claire

“Welcome! I'm Claire Nash, a lifelong lover of Irish food, culture, and hospitality. From my early days at Ballymaloe House to running one of Cork's most celebrated restaurants, I've spent my career creating experiences that bring people together through food, storytelling, and shared moments.

My journey has taken me across the world-from working at Ford World Headquarters in Detroit to managing one of Atlanta's most prestigious private clubs, the Cherokee Town & Country Club-before returning to Ireland to establish my own culinary legacy. For over 30 years, I owned and operated Nash 19, a flagship restaurant, food shop, and cultural hub in Cork city.

As Co-Founder of Cork's Long Table Dinner, I have always been passionate about celebrating local food and producers, bringing people together for authentic, shared dining experiences. Whether pioneering innovative events like Eat on the Street, collaborating with Ireland's leading food and tourism organizations, or rebuilding after challenges, my focus has always been on creativity, resilience, and hospitality at its finest.

Now, I've come back to my roots-welcoming guests into my home in Kinsale, a beautifully restored cottage above Charles Fort. Here, I offer intimate cooking and entertaining experiences, celebrating the best of homegrown ingredients, local seafood, and artisan produce. Whether you're joining me for a hands-on cooking day, a stylish entertaining session, or a relaxed afternoon gathering, I'll share my knowledge, my table, and my love for bringing people together.”
